Today Facebook notified TonyBrownsJournal that its Facebook page has been selected as “one of the well-known public pages with a large following that has been verified as having an authentic identity.”
Facebook, a social media giant, explains the significance of this prestigious selection and recognition that helps the public recognize the TonyBrownsJournal page as authentic and factual.
“Keep in mind that you can’t request to have your profile or page verified,” Facebook explains. This is also an important first step in establishing a journalistic integrity for the Web.
