Following the Los Angeles riots, national attention focused on the plight of urban areas. With the defeat of a conservative Republican administration, the question becomes: "Can the liberal White House, Congress and Black leadership rebuild the cities?" This program examines different perspectives on this issue with Hazel Dukes, former president and member of the board of directors of the NAACP, and Elizabeth Wright, editor and publisher of Issues and Views, a newsletter that provides a forum for dissenting views among Blacks.
